Jay Mohr joins Mesentech's Board of Directors
Jay Mohr, an experienced healthcare executive, transaction advisor and entrepreneur joins Mesentech as an independent director. For over 25 years Jay held P&L responsibilities and C-level roles in established as well as venture backed companies. Jay currently serves as Chief Financial and Business Officer of New York Blood Center Enterprises, where he is responsible for financial operations and business development activities. Jay is Partner Emeritus and co-founder of Locust Walk Partners, a leading, transaction advisory firm for the life sciences industry. Prior to these roles, Jay was founding CEO and Director for Gloucester Pharmaceuticals, a cancer therapeutics company, where he was instrumental in raising over $30 million in venture capital from blue chip venture capitalists; Gloucester was acquired by Celgene for $640 million. Jay currently serves as Director of the T1D Exchange, a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating therapies and improving care and outcomes in type 1 diabetes. He is a member of the Executive Advisory Board of the Leonard Davis Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Jay holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
